AIM CONFIGURATION

How to configure AIM to connect to WincorHQ's Servers

1. Get AIM

Firstly, you will need AOL Messenger or an AOL Messenger compatible program.

To get AIM working correctly, please go on : Open OSCAR Server page and follow the instructions for your operating system.

After having set up AIM to work on your device please follow with : "Domain and port configuration"

2. Domain and port configuration

Firstly, Open AIM and press the wrench button, labeled "Setup"

This menu should normally open. It can be slightly different depending on your version.

If it does not, please find another version of the AIM client, or try reinstalling it.

Then, press the "Connection" button

A window like this should open, or atleast a similar one

Host

Then, set the settings as : "wincorhq.freeboxos.fr" for the host

You may use any alternative domain, aslong as it resloves to the same IP

Port

Leave the port as default, or if it's currently a non-standard port, set it to 5190

If you need any proxy to access the internet or our domains, configure it in the "Connect using proxy" box

Complete the setup by pressing the OK/Apply Button

3. Connect to the server

In the ScreenName box, Put the ScreenName you defined when creating your AIM account.

In the Password box, Put the password you defined when creating your AIM account, be careful to not use the same password as your Forum account.

You may check any of the 2 boxes, Auto login and Remember Password.

Press enter and enjoy WincorHQ's AIM servers!
